Bug 51355

GemStone/S 64 Bit

3.7.2

installgs reports errors when validating an installed valid keyfile

The legacy installgs script offers to install a keyfile, and verifies that they keyfile is valid for the given installation. Due to changes in 3.7.2 to support configuregs, the validation in installgs fails with 'WARNING:  key file is invalid or expired: ... option -k requires an argument.

This warning is not relevant; the keyfile may or may not be valid.  The keyfile was correctly installed, and provided you have a valid keyfile, you can ignore this warning.

installgs is no longer the recommended way to install GemStone, except when running with strict security requirements. See the Installation Guide for v3.7.2 or later for the most recent installation instructions.
