GemStone requires minimum CPU version features on Linux/x86
GemStone has had performance optimizations that require CPU features that are not available on older CPUs.
The minimum required CPUs for v3.7 are:
- Intel CPUs with architecture Sandy Bridge or newer (excluding Atom CPUs)
- AMD CPUs with architecture Bulldozer version 1 or newer
Attempting to run on older CPUs will fail errors such as:
