Performance of markForCollect for long object chains
When the object map includes very long chains of objects (a depth of multiple hundreds), the performance of markForCollection and other repository wide mark/sweep operations, such as epoch and write set union sweep, is substantially worse than in v3.4 and earlier versions.
Very long object chains are inherently less performant for markForCollection, particularly when these are distributed over many pages.
