Stone may freeze or crash if invalid data sent to Stone's listening port

The Stone has a listening port for login connection requests.  If another process attempts to communicate with the Stone on this port, the unexpected message format may cause the Stone to crash or freeze.

v3.4 includes an additional code path fix that is not in earlier version fixes.
