Attempts to restore or recover a system using tranlogs that were originally written uncompressed and were later compressed using the unix gzip command will hang, with the stone consuming 100% CPU in an infinite loop. "gslist -v" will show the stone status as "startup" on 3.1.X systems, and as "recovery" on 3.2.X systems.
Uncompress the tranlogs using gunzip before attempting to start the stone.
