Slow reclaim with idle/unused extents
When a reclaim thread finds no pages in an extent that need reclaim, it sleeps for one second before continuing. In systems that are configured with sequential allocation mode and have a large amount of free space, extents that are later in the sequence may have no active data, and the one-second sleep for each may cause overall reclaim to perform much slower than expected.
