Network error during login treated as bad password, may disable user accounts
In an RPC login, after the SSL connection, any connection failures were being treated as bad password errors. So if there was a network error, the Stone treated this as if it was a login failure due to a incorrect password. This could result in the account being disabled, as configured after a certain number of incorrect password login attempts.
