GemStone uses deprecated methods, making deprecation difficult to use
When detection of deprecated methods is turned on, by modifying the method
Object>>deprecated:, many internal calls to deprecated methods are detected.
This makes the deprecation mechanism difficult to use to detect customer
application use of deprecated methods.
In v3.1.0.2, many senders have been updated and the problem is reduced,
but there are still cases where deprecated methods are being used.
