Memory leak in Stone with use of notifiers

Gem signaling allocates memory on the C heap of the Stone's process. When
notifiers are used, in some cases this memory was not freed, which resulted
in growth of the Stone's memory footprint. This ultimately could cause
the Stone to run out of memory and crash with a malloc error.
