topaz problems when pasting long line without linebreaks
In earlier versions, pasting text into the topaz terminal was limited to
256 chars. This has been increased in v3.0.
There are cases of unexpected behavior by paste into a topaz session, if
the text being pasted does not have regular line breaks. This includes
scrolling in place. On Solaris, the terminal may hang due to a bug in
Solaris. Pasting text from a text editor that includes the tab character
may paste multiple copies.
Workaround
Topaz executing using input is not affected.
Turning off the lineditor may avoid some problems. The lineditor is added
in 3.0 and enabled by default. To turn off, execute:
OMIT LINEEDITOR
