Commit/Abort crashes with "leaf not found for bit in splitBitList"

In a database with more than 0.5 billion (536870911) objects, topaz/gem
sessions may crash on commits or aborts with the following error printed
to the topaz/gem session log:

leaf not found for bit in splitBitList

followed by a HostCallDebugger stack trace.

Workaround

No workaround.  Bug is fixed in GS/S versions 6.5.7.5 and later.  Customers
with production databases may contact GemStone Technical Support for special
assistance.
