Risk of SEGV after upgrade to more recent Linux kernels

More recent Linux kernels enforce memory access rules that are violated
in versions of GemStone earlier than 6.5.6.  If you upgrade your Linux
environment to a more recent version, you may encounter SEGVs on Smalltalk
stack overflow

Workaround

Continue using the older kernel.  If you need to upgrade, also upgrade
to GemStone/S 6.5.6 or later.
