Bug 39743

GemStone/S 64 Bit, 2.3.1, 2.3,,,,, 2.2.5, 2.2.4, 2.2.3, 2.2.2, 2.2.x, 2.1.4, 2.1.x, 2.0.4, 2.0.x, 1.2.5, 1.2.4, 1.1.14, 1.x

Core file may still be created

When GemStone processes encounter fatal internal errors and terminate, they should only create core files if GS_WRITE_CORE_FILE is set. However, under some conditions involving multiple or recusive SIGSEGV, SIGBUS, or SIGILL errors, a core file can still be generated. This can cause disk space problems with large caches.
