Creating a remote compressed backup may inadvertently succeed
Compressed backups to a remote disk are not supported. In general, attempts to create a compressed backup on a remote disk will fail with an appropriate error message.
However, on HPUX, the creation of a remote compressed backup may
may appear to succeed. The resulting backup files may or may not
be useable; creating backups this way is unsupported and should not
be relied on.
