Performance issues with very high commit rate
Systems with very high commit rates may not be able to achieve the highest
performance in 3.2. The problem is caused by the Reclaim Gem not being
able to keep up, and the cache becoming filled with pages. The cause of
the problem is the way threads within the ReclaimGem abort to get updated
views of the pages that need reclaim.
Workaround
If you are considering upgrade to 3.2, and your system has a high commit
rate, we recommend upgrading to v3.2.1 instead. Contact GemStone Technical
Support to discuss the options.
